Government of India Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Work in Criminology and Police Science 2011

Fellowship scheme for doctoral work in criminology and police science.

Applications are invited from Indian National for the award of six Fellowships for Doctoral work in Criminology and Police Science for three years.

Eligibility:

1. First or second class Master’s Degree not less than 55% marks for General Category and 50% for Reserve Category (SC/ST/OBC) in Criminology, Sociology, Social work, Psychology, Social Anthropology, Public Administration, Political Science, Law and Police Administration.

2. Preference to the NET/SET qualified candidate.

3. Registered for Ph.D. programme with any recognized Indian university.

4. The fellowships are open to Indian National of 30 years of age in General Category and 35 years of age in reserve Category (SC/ST/OBC) as on the date of publication of Advertisement for the purpose every year.

5. Reservation: SC/ST/OBC as per Government of India rules.

6. Application forms and rules: Copies of rules and prescribed application for fellowship scheme in criminology and police sciences are available on request or can be downloaded from our website www.bprd.nic.in Application should be addressed to, The Director General, Bureau of Police Research & Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Block No. 11, 4th Floor CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003. with a caption ‘Application for the Award of Fellowship’. Application are required to send self-addressed unstamped envelope (28cm x 12cms) attached with the request.

7. Closing date for receipt of applications: 10th July, 2011.
